Munitions as Waste Disposal

Depleted Uranium Munitions: I am, in the main, clueless about war, weaponry, etc. However, am I wrong to find this horrifying? And the fact that it seems little known (at least by our citizenry--including many of our elected officials) is even more troubling. Why do we never ask ethical questions about these things?... Has Rahm Emanuel's brother weighed in on the bioethics of using these DU weapons?

  1. As usual you have given me something to think about that is horrendous. If these are indeed weapons of mass destruction does this not make us worse than any of the others?

  2. I think it could be argued that the use of these larger munitions in particular constitute a biological weapon and possibly might be classed as a weapon of mass destruction.
